How do I get this Video Decoder - Free!

Hi, I`ve just aquired a really good and versatile Video player with the most unlikely name of ... The ALShow, with accompanying MP3 player..The AL Song.

It was clear to me as soon as I installed that this was not going to be free.
In the middle of the screen I`ve got this notice informing me that "bit control MPEG-2 Video Decoder" needs to be downloaded. Well that`s not a problem if you don`t mind buying it. (www.bitcontrol.com)

Can anyone suggest an alternative that may work with Al ?
    Like "XPEG decoder" ?
When he`s working, he`s the biz, and I personally wouldn`t be needing another video player right away.

Damm ! Why can`t they take a leaf out of Vitual Dub`s book ?
    Anyway, all suggestions welcome.

a google search indicates it has a bunch of internal decoders, probably libavcodec. odd it doesn't play mpeg2 then, you could try downloading dscaler5 or gabest's mpv decoder.

or use media player classic or VLC instead
