    Lite on firmware

    Does anyone know why I cant download the PS0C firmware from this link?

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?...ces=SHW-160P6S

    Any preferrences by members of which firmware to go with for this burner? PS0B or PS0C?

    I'm currently using PS09. Just looking for any recommendations. Thanks

          Out of ignorance with firmware, may I ask what the advantages of PS0B over PS09 are?

          @chewy, I'll stay away from PS0C

            get the psob, especially for dvd-r, if you never burn -r, don't worry till
            you have a problem

            now after all this gets boring, then move on the experimental firmware

              I'll quit boring you, lol, thanks Chewy....I rarely burn dvd-r....seems I do all dvd+r to dvd-rom, seems to work the best in all my stand alone players.

                        I think my question above is a dumb one, obviously stock and patched are not the same....my apologies.

                        @jm, I unzipped the the download that you linked me to, there are 3 exe.'s, do i run all of them, one after another in safe mode?

                          the first just unlocks read speed

                          the second unlocks burn speed

                          the third does both

                          I like to pair a slow reader with a fast reader in a computer for ripping different disks
