Question-2 TMPGEnc - DivX to MPEG2 without Sound

I┤ve got a problem with TMPGEnc. Normally it should be no problem to convert a movie from DivX to MPEG 2 (SVCD). But sometimes movies have an accounted playtime of about 10 hours or more though the movie has just a playtime of about 100min. In this case it seems to be a problem to convert this movies from DivX to MPEG2. After converting I get a terrific movie but without any kind of sound.

I tried to select a source range within TMPGEnc but the result will be the same. The TMPGEnc-Wizard shows me that the estimated file size will exceed the Disc-Capacity about 800%. Very strange....

Who of you is able to solve my problem so that I┤ll get a good MPEG2-Video WITH sound. Thanks in advance for your help. Sorry if my englisch isnt┤t the best but I┤m sure you┤ll understand my problem.

    Default

extract the audio as a wav using virtualdub, then load this wav in TMPGENC along with the video and encode.

    Question-2 same problem

I have the same problem but when I try to extract the sound in virtualdub he say that there are some missing codec. I have this problem only with the new .avi .

I have the latest vs of Tmpeg, virtualdub, nimopack and the divx5.0.2.

    What can I do please?
