I went for almost a year and about half of those videos wouldn't play, I had been answering no to install the player thinking it was dangerous?

some identification w/having to download then maybe having to remove it because of bugs, or w/e. that's mainly why i'm so hesitant about adding anything not really needed. pita to do a clean install, and get things back to normal, especially after having everything set up w/the power user settings, and system resource sticky. thnx. thought i was running on paranoid mode.

              java control panel

but first make sure you are running the latest and don't have a mess in add/remove programs

they are now reccomending that you download the standalone installer and uninstall all versions before reinstalling in some cases

malware is moving to exploit flash and java as we close more holes in our protection

yeah i know. imagine where i'm at w/all this. i haven't even got into the security script features posted in the firefox thread. i'm good 4 now. don't cruise much, but added security can't hurt. gotta do a lot of reading n searching. i'll easy does it, but do it.

those script blockers and allowed site functions worth it?

firefox without no script is asking for trouble, might as well stick with IE 7

ok. so i use firefox. u mean the upgrade to IE 7 wouldn't affect anything if little, and at the same time increase security for firefox, even though they're 2 different browsers?
