How to convert multiple .TS files to VOB's.

I have a video in .TS format (9.47 Gig in size). I have 102 x 100mb files (not quite sure why). How do I go about converting these into VOB's to then re-encoding them to fit onto a DVD-5?

In addition, does anyone have recommendations on the best software to use for 1) converting .TS (if it's a single file) to either DVD/MPEG2 (VOB's) or DivX and 2) converting .MKV files to either VOB's ir DivX?

Sure do find the quality of .TS-files amazing but, not very user-friendly.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Try with XviD4PSP.....Don't let the title fool you...
Is your goal to keep as HD video? or convert to SD video
XviD4PSP 8.1 is a program for convenient and high-quality video and audio conversion. Completely new version. It does not depend on system codecs and any system components everything is inside.

        Don't put your 9.47gb TS FILES on a DVD-5.

Less compression if you put the TS FILES on a DVD-9 (DVD+R DL) and build the VOBS at the mpeg2 level.

TS files can easily be built to M2TS files or Blu-ray structure. You need a software program that can go from hi def Blu-ray to std def VOBS at the mpeg2 level.

If you are planning to getting into portable hi def in the near future you might want to consider TS files to M2TS files to Blu-ray structure and burn to the media of your choice.

You will need a Blu-ray player that will play home made compliant Blu-ray structure built on a DVD-5 or DVD-9. And of course a Blu-ray reader/burner.

If you don't mind splitting the file, use tsmuxer and choose the "split&cut feature, create a .m2ts file(s), or BD structured output and burn to DVD-5 disc...I play or stream them to my PS3 console...
If choosing .m2ts file, change extension to .mpg or .vob then burn using UDF 2.50 file sys....

mostly you just need a dvd creator for video to dvddisc burning. Hope it helps.
