The 360 hardware saw a boost to 24,962 units in the week of Vesperia's release. Previous weeks had seen the hardware slowly climb from 2,000 units to the 5,000 mark.

The 360's sales were below the Wii's 38,506 units, but well above the PS3's 9,673 units. Taking the gutter position for the week was the PS2 at 8,503 units.

Well, every dog has its day (or week) I suppose. It does show that the Japanese market is very much motivated by the type of games available, and the PS3 and Wii being Japanese based means they have a huge advantage over there.
