The 360 hardware saw a boost to 24,962 units in the week of Vesperia's release. Previous weeks had seen the hardware slowly climb from 2,000 units to the 5,000 mark.

Well, every dog has its day (or week) I suppose. It does show that the Japanese market is very much motivated by the type of games available, and the PS3 and Wii being Japanese based means they have a huge advantage over there.
