I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I CAN WATCH A CONVERTED MOVIE
IN BOTH MY PC AND/OR MY HOME DVD PLAYER FROM A CD-R. HOW I CAN CONVERT IT TO DO THIS. I'M TALKING ABOUT ONE OF THOSE MOVIES THAT YOU DOWNLOAD FROM THE INTERNET.

thanks, but i read about how to convert to vcd; what i'm talking about here is How to convert any movie file to vcd compliant mpeg-4 not mpeg-1/2.

There is no VCD compliant MPEG-4.
VCD is MPEG-1
SVCD is MPEG-2
DVD is MPEG-2
MPEG-4 is (up to now) not supported by any standalone DVD player and has nothing to do with VCD or SVCD standards.

divx 5 lets you output to mpeg-4 compliant, but as herman already said: vcd/svcd are NOT mpeg-4

If your PC and TV set are close enough, consider using TV-out and relaying your audio to your TV or even home-theatre set.

you can also use a wireless source.........

connect box x to the PC, install software then take the wireless hardware to ur TV, plug it in and hit play on ur PC
