    Choppy video with Flask

    Hello,
I am new to this and have not much of a clue what I'm doing, however I tried to encode a 22 min mpeg-2 clip to divx 5.01 using FlaskMpeg. The quality of the video was great except it was somewhat choppy. Can someone tell me why or what I might have done wrong. Also, is it possible to do 2-pass with Flask? Thanks

Either checkmark or uncheckmark "Reconstruct Progressive Images"...

It's grey'd out and nothing I do seems to un-grey it so that I can change it.

Change the framerate to 23.976 first...

I've tried it both ways and it's choppy either way.

It's possible that the resolution of the video is too high for your system, causing it to choke at its playback. What is the resolution of the video and your CPU speed? In addition, it is likely that you have got the playback filter cranked up too high. Try lowering it (even down to zero) and see if it helps your playback.
