    Super Video CD

I recently got back from vacation and took several video clips on my digital camera. They are all in an .avi format.

I wanted to be able to view on my DVD player so I created a SVCD using Nero Start Smart>Burn Video Disc>Super Video CD. In selecting Super Video CD in Nero, it indicated that I would be able to view on my DVD play.

I have a newer Samsung Blu Ray player and the CD will not play. It shows a directory of MPEG2 and Segment.. but just doesn't play anything. Is it the fact that I have an older version of Nero and a new Blu Ray player?

Is there another way to turn AVI format to a runnable DVD?

    Thanks for any help.

As a follow up to this thread.. when moving my files to DVD using Flick free, I ran into a Title limitation problem. I had about 80 small clips from my digital camera to convert and the first time I selected All, I got a Title Limit reached warning.
Ran across WonderShare's Digital to Video DVD program on Free GiveAway of the Day site and burnt the same 80+ files without the limitation.
Menu selections suck, but I got them all on one DVD.
