Japanese Consumer Not Interested in 3D TVs?

A Kakaku.com survey of Japanese consumers shows that 67.4% are not interested in 3D TV technology at the moment.

70% cited the hassle of wearing glasses as a major concern, while 57% also said that prices are too high. 40% said that the lack of 3D content was the major reason why they did not want a 3D TV.

Of those surveyed, only 31.2% considered buying 3D TVs.

Digital Digest's own poll suggested an equal lack of interest in 3D technology. Only 9.55% of those surveyed planned to buy a 3D TV as soon as possible, while 45.51% said they just weren't interested in 3D TVs. 18.54% wanted to wait before buying, while 26.4% cited high cost as a stumbling block.
