Have a Maxell mini-DV tape that broke upon eject. Had professional repair made (been using this local service for 20 years and VHS days). They repaired tape after removing from Maxell "shell" and place repaired tape in empty Panasonic "shell." Tape plays back fine. However, there is nothing on the tape. Videographer shot three-quarters of the way through the tape using a SONY-DSR 250 before the break happened. No way for that camera to even operate if there was a problem - error message would have displayed. Any ideas? Switching "shells" make a difference? Could DSR 250 have rolled tape through without recording on to tape heads? This one has me stymied? Any suggestions, comments or thoughts? Thanks in advance.
