Help Selecting Camcorder for Poor Light

    Hi:
I do videowork for a piano teacher with very serious, dedicated students (many of her students have gone to Julliard) and who gives frequent recitals. These recitals always take place in poorly lit auditoriums. I have a Handycam HDR-FX7 and I am extremely unhappy with the quality of the images it produces under these recital conditions (I would post links to some videos I've made but this is my first post so I'm not allowed to do so. If you go onto YouTube and look for the videos of user ShagBaby you can see samples of my work). Can someone recommend a camcorder in the low prosumer range that would perform better under the situations I describe? I would really love to hear from people who have experience shooting under similar conditions. Thanks in advance!
