What is the best Blu-ray player available for under $150?

My parents need one since I am moving out with my PS3 - it will be hooked up to their 46" 120Hz Sony Bravia KDL-46V5100. After some reviews, I have found Sony BDPS6500 3D 4K as the best pick in blu-ray plyers review on bestadvisor.com and going to purchase it, but before want to ask, if somebody can answer me, it would be great!
    So:
Is it compatible to 4k 2160 resolution? Is it right blue ray player for my latest 3D 4K 2160p resolution ultra-HD TV?
Is it worth buying this player or waiting for an actual 4K player?
Any advice will be pretty appreciated, thanks!

    Sony BDP-S6500 Review

Yes you can surely go for this product.
The supported resolution is 3,840 x 2,160 pixels which is compatible for your TV set.

Due to insufficient privileges I cannot put link addresses which will help you learn more about 4K and the said product.

Check the review on AV Forums.
You can learn more about 4K video on Trusted Reviews.

    Thank you,

I think the Panasonic DMP-BDT500P 3D Blu-ray is a good option when considering the price range and build quality accompanied by solid performance.
