Picture is gone?

I have downloaded Fight Club, Office Space and Heat, and every one of them does the same thing. I would open divx playa, wmp, quick time, or real player and all of them would play the movie for about 5 to 10 seconds and then the picture would go black. The sound would still work but the picture would not be there. I have a 3D prophet 4500 video card. My friend has the same card and is NOT having any problems with playing videos. Is there any thing I can do?

Have you installed the antifreeze patch?
Normally I seem to remember the film just freezes and the sound continues.
Seems odd that all three films would give out at about the same point...

Can you click the slider to beyond the point of failure and get video back?
